Sever shop

We have implemented a GUI market system on all of our 1.12.2 servers. Every player can list 3 items on the market at once and it stays on the market for 24 hours before being returned to your inventory. Try /cm or /complexmarket in game and it should be there :)

As the moderator says above, we have a pretty decent market system implemented already. And spigot/bukkit based plugins do not work on modded servers as modded servers only run spongeforge.

Why don't you make a start by putting stuff up for sale then, maybe it'll inspire other people to use it too :)

There is a significant problem with the economy as it is.
Money (coins) currently has no value.
It can not be used to buy claim blocks, keys, items, or anything else.
Without the coins being able to be exchanged for something directly they have no worth.
Players are not going to trade their money for items, because they get nothing in return.
Unless the server provides something to do with the money it is utterly worthless.

You can buy things from other players, it's a currency, that's how currency works.

currency needs a meter to have a value. one way to establish value for example would be to go with a gold standard. for example "currency = X value in gold". currency has no value because we have nothing to measure it against. if its 5k for a nether star, well then it would stand to reason that a stack of dirt would be 40. but if there is no associated value dirt could be 4k and a nether star could be 15k.

I have been on both sides of the equation. I ran a full server shop that had been created by an economic professor, and I have run personal shops. The Server shop that was set up by the economist worked even in the range of the regulations that Minecraft set out several years ago. Only certian things were removed from the Server shop and the things that had been removed were end game items.
It is possible to run a full server shop with everything available as long as the monetary value does NOT come from actual cash. Give the coins a value and then it becomes aginst Minecraft rules.
There is a way around the rules though. Set the in game server shop with extreme amounts of in game cash which is permanently separated from the Server shop which uses the donations to assist the server. An example of this would be a prison shop. Im sure that this could be added into the general economy of the server.
