what happens if i use a pokeball modifier

i have a pokeball modifier and im asking if i can use it and still get the pokeball that it was cough in

ex: i catch a mewtwo in a master ball can i use a pokeball modifier to get that master ball back?

Yes you can all that you are required to do is to release the pokemon to a open space and right click with the mod. From there you will see a guide that you can choose the new pokeball your pokemon will change into with out the need of actually having the ball in your inv.

That's not how Pokeball Modifiers work. A ball mod will allow you to change the ball the Pokemon was caught in (ie. from Masterball to Pokeball) but you will not receive the original ball back.
