Why i cant battle a gym leader?

Hey Codypek,
There may be several reasons why you are unable to battle gym leaders. Some things to look out for would include:
1) Battles Clauses. In regards to the gyms, there are several clauses set in place that will restrict the player from battling if their team breaks any one of those rules (i.e. Item Clause, OHKO Clause). For more information on the clauses, click here.
2) Level Cap. Each gym has a level cap that is stated at the entrance. If your pokemon is above the set level cap, then that pokemon is not allowed to participate in the battle. To lower the level of your pokemon, run the command /lowerlevel to purchase Common Candy.
3) Unable to Start a Battle. In some cases, you may not be able to even send your pokemon out. If this occurs, try doing /endbattle.
4) Time Limits for Gym Battles. If you lose to a Gym Leader, you must wait an entire Minecraft day -- roughly 20 minutes -- to retry. (NOTE: For the Elite 4, you will need to wait an actual day -- 24 hours -- before you can retry).
