Chest shops are a fantastic way for players on our Skyblock, Prison, and Survival servers to create a shop to buy and sell items of their choosing. We have created this thread to show players what chest shops are and how to utilize them!

How to create a chest shop on my plot?
There are a few ways to create a chest shop, but the first step will always be to select the chest you want the shop to be at. Once you choose either a single chest or a double chest place the sign anywhere on the front, back, or sides where you would like players to interact with the shop. What goes on the sign?
Let's briefly walk through each component of the sign first.
Line 1 you will always leave blank. It will fill in with your username when you complete the sign if everything was done correctly.
Line 2 will be the number of the selected item you are buying or selling per sale.
Line 3 will be the price you are buying (“S Price”) or selling (“B Price”) the aforementioned quantity for.
Line 4 will either be “?” or the name of the item depending on which option you choose below.
What do we do with the question mark?
If you have something in the chest before placing the sign or put something in the chest after placing the sign, the question mark will automatically turn into the item in the chest. You may also right-click the item you wish to buy/sell on the sign.
Option #1:
The outline for chest shop signs using Option 1 is as follows:
To Sell
LINE 1: LEAVE BLANK
LINE 2: The quantity you want to sell.
LINE 3: B The price you want to sell the quantity of items for.
LINE 4: ?
OR
To Buy
LINE 1: LEAVE BLANK
LINE 2: The quantity you want to sell.
LINE 3: S The price you want to buy the quantity of items for.
LINE 4: ?
For this example, let's assume we want to sell 16 iron ingots for $1,000.
Here is what the sign should look like:
LINE 1: LEAVE BLANK
LINE 2: 16
LINE 3: B 1000
LINE 4: ?
For this example, let's assume we want to buy 16 iron ingots for $1,000.
Here is what the sign should look like:
LINE 1: LEAVE BLANK
LINE 2: 16
LINE 3: S 1000
LINE 4: ?
After this, your chest shop should be functional! If it is a buy chest, the items sold to you by players at your new chest shop will show up in the chest. If it is a sell chest, make sure to stock the chest shop by placing your stock of the item you are selling into the chest. After this final step, your shop will be ready to go!
Note: If at any time you wish to change anything on the sign you will need to remake the shop.
Option #2
The outline for chest shop signs using Option 2 is as follows:
To Sell
LINE 1: LEAVE BLANK
LINE 2: The quantity you want to sell.
LINE 3: B The price you want to sell the aforementioned quantity for.
LINE 4: The name of the item you want to sell.
OR
To Buy
LINE 1: LEAVE BLANK
LINE 2: The quantity you wish to sell.
LINE 3: S The price you wish to buy the aforementioned quantity for.
LINE 4: The name of the item you want to buy.
Note: To find the item name for Line 4, run /iteminfo with the item in your hand and utilize the “Shop Sign” name from the pop-up in chat. This is especially important for enchanted items or special items (such as crate keys).
For this example, let's assume we want to sell 16 iron ingots for $1,000.

LINE 1: LEAVE BLANK
LINE 2: 16
LINE 3: B 1000
LINE 4: Iron Ingot

Troubleshooting
Solving common issues.
Solving common issues.
If after completing the sign your username does not automatically show up at the top or if the sign breaks then something was done incorrectly! Please review the steps above and try a different option if necessary. Failing that, we always recommend relogging or waiting for a reboot.
Here are some common causes for sign shops not working:
- Utilizing punctuation (such as commas or periods) in the price.
- Putting your username in line 1 (not allowing it to do it automatically).
- Mixing up what goes in each line.
- Putting the incorrect item name.
- Having extra spaces.
- In most cases, Option 1 is the easiest.
- The quantity indicated on the sign will be sold for the price indicated on the sign. This means if you want to sell multiple items (Quantity above 1) in each sale you must put the total price you want to sell them for.
- While in the same zone as your chest shop, you may do /csn history to view your chest shop history for that zone.
- You may also do /csn clear in a certain zone to erase your /csn history in that zone.
- Make sure to keep a high stock of items in selling chests and make sure to frequently empty buying chests.
