Unfortunately, this sometimes happens. Best thing to do is to trash the key by throwing it against cactus or into a pit of lava. Additionally, staff won't refund you the key that bugged.

If you run the /givs command - and hover over each of the Pokemon in your team; you'll be able to see whether or not it's tradeable or untradeable. If it doesn't say untradeable in the hover; you're good to go.

Try building a new breeder for the two Pokemon; leaving six or more blocks above the ranch. It may be a simple case of the one you're currently using being bugged and you may just need a new one.
