I joined yesterday and found this same message today. Also have no clue why, I just finished updating java and restarting and that didn't help. I'd also appreciate hearing from someone who understands this issue.
EDIT: I was able to log in after a few minutes and many more attempts. It seems it was on their end? Just keep trying.
