Tournament Guide

On the Complex Server there are two types of tournament hosted. Once in every month there is a network wide tournament hosted. The information regarding the tournament can be found in the announcement channel of the discord, and staff server hosted by staff members on server everyday.

Network Tournament

How It Works​

• Each Server (Diamond, Red, and Violet) will have their specific Tournaments in which players from their respective servers will compete against one another to become the servers' Champions.
• The top 3 people from each server will move into the Global Bracket to compete on next day at designated time to become the Network Champion.
• All battles will take place on the server you sign up to participate on, and you will need to have your team built in game to participate, not on Showdown.

Rewards​

• Network Champion: $250 Complex GC, Max IV Mod, 2 Ultra Keys, and Permanent Custom Network Champion Tag [Global]
• 1st Place Server Champion: $100 Complex GC, 1 Ultra key, Server Champion Tag
• 2nd Place Server Champion: $75 Complex GC, 1 Lunar key
• 3rd Place Server Champion: $50 Complex GC

For the Permanent Custom Network Champion Tag, Network Champions will be allowed to create their own Custom Tag that is permanent! This means that it will never be removed and can be kept regardless of future wins/losses. Players will be allowed to pick colors, gradients, and the word that you'd like to use in the tag. Keep in mind, however, that the Staff Member who assists you in providing the rewards will have to approve this.

To be entered into the tournament, you must sign up below on your specific server using the signup links
Note: You can only participate on one server, if you sign up for multiple you will be automatically disqualified everywhere.

Sign-Ups will close one hour prior to tournament starting (Subject to change). Brackets will be finalized 30 Minutes prior to the Tournament starting. If you are sure you signed up but are not seeing your name in the appropriate area, please contact @Mythxic BEFORE the closing time.

Rules/Formatting

Format: The Battle Format for every tournament is subject to change. Make sure to follow the rules in the announcement and validate your team accordingly by loading up https://pokemonshowdown.com/ then navigate to "Team Builder", then "New Team", and then replicate your in-game team on Showdown to check its validation. If you have any questions with this please DM @Mythxic.

• You are only allowed to participate on one server.
• You can use multiple teams in this Tournament, however they must follow the Little Cup Rules.
• Battles will take place on each respective server and the top 3 players on each server will compete in the Network Tournament. This will take place the following day of the server tournament but will take place on Pokemon Showdown using what you have in game.
• You are not allowed to participate on alt accounts. If you are caught you will be disqualified for this Tournament and ALL future Tournaments.
• Participants should not begin battles until the Tournament host verifies teams for validation.

Staff Tournaments​

These tournaments are hosted by staff members on the server. They provide a fun way for players to battle one another for rewards. In this tournaments players can staff members to host tournament if minimum six players are available to participate. Once there are 6 members players can ask a staff member to host or make a ticket to ask staff member to host.

Note: Hosting is subjective to availability of staff member as it maybe that staff member might not be present due to time zone or generally busy.

Format: The tournament format type is decided by staff member who are hosting it, often voted by the members present on the server who are participating.

Rewards:

• 1st Place: 5 gems + 100 tokens + Special custom item + 5 Event keys +100 battle points
• 2nd Place: 3 gems + 70 tokens + 3 event keys + 50 battle points
• 3rd Place: 1 gem + 50 tokens + 2 event keys +20 battle points
• Participation reward: 1 Event Key

Be sure to keep an eye on Events Channel to know about upcoming tournaments.

Automated Server Tournaments​

Joining a Tournament
These tournaments are fully automated and will be hosted every 4 hours. When one starts, a message will be announced in chat. Following that, players can vote on a format by using the /tournament command. Once a format has been selected, players will have the option to join the tournament through /tournament.

Note: These tournaments are hosted on a separate tournament server!

Format Selection
When voting begins, two formats from the available options or two different types of Pokémon will be automatically chosen, and players will vote between them through /tournament.

If two different types of Pokémon are selected, the available Pokémon during team selection will only be from those two types. If a format is selected, the available Pokémon will only be ones that belong to that specific format.

Available Formats:

• All possible Dual Typing (Ex: Water & Fire, Normal & Ghost, etc.)

Team Selections

Team selection begins once the two participants for each battle are taken to the tournament server. Once there, players will take turns choosing between two Pokémon. The selected Pokémon will be given to the player who chose it, while the second Pokémon will go to their opponent.

Note: Each player selects 3 Pokémon, and the remaining 3 come from their opponent's selections.

Rewards

• 1st Place: 3x Event Keys, 30 BP, 5x Gems
• 2nd Place: 2x Event Keys, 20 BP, 3x Gems
• 3rd Place: 1x Event Key, 10 BP, 1x Gem
• Participation Rewards: 2x Vote Keys
