Cobblemon Exclusive
- Form-Changing Held Items (NEW): held items now change a Pokémon's form in battle. Ogerpon takes its Wellspring, Hearthflame, or Cornerstone form while holding the matching Mask, and its damaging moves gain 20% power. Arceus changes type with each Plate (each Plate also boosts its type's attacks by 20%), Silvally changes type with each Memory, and Genesect's Techno Blast changes type with the Burn, Chill, Douse, and Shock Drives. Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina take their Origin Forme while holding the Adamant Crystal, Lustrous Globe, or Griseous Core. Kyogre and Groudon use Primal Reversion with the Blue Orb and Red Orb, and Zacian and Zamazenta take their Crowned forms with the Rusted Sword and Rusted Shield. Booster Energy now activates Protosynthesis and Quark Drive.
- Gym Bans: to keep gym battles fair, Zamazenta and Regieleki are now banned in Gyms, joining Melmetal.
- Clan Gyms: Sleep Clause has been removed from Clan Gym battles, so sleep moves now follow the standard battle rules there.
- Market Insight: the /market and /price guide is now fairer for everyone: each seller and buyer pair counts once toward an item's average, so trading the same item back and forth can't push its price around. Price pages also remind you that prices are a guide only, and every player is free to price their items as they see fit.
- Gen 9 OU Megas: 31 newer Mega Evolutions, including Mega Garchomp Z, Mega Greninja, Mega Chandelure, and Mega Excadrill, moved from Ubers to OU, so they can now be used in Gen 9 OU battles like Network Tournaments. Their Mega Stones stay banned in Gyms and Clan Gyms to keep those battles balanced.
Pixelmon Exclusive
- Clan Milestones: Clan Milestones are now much easier to reach, with goals lowered in every category. For example, the first world boss goal is now 7 wins (was 10), the first egg goal is 4 eggs (was 6), the first vote goal is 5 votes (was 8), and the top level of each category dropped by about 20% to 40%. Dual Gym and Raid Den goals were removed from milestones.
- Enforcer Ball (Piltover Precision) (NEW): the Enforcer Ball comes to Pixelmon! When you catch a Pokémon with it, it can transform that Pokémon into the exact specs your active PokéHunt needs: 35% on Easy, 25% on Medium, and 5% on Hard hunts, plus 2% per level (Overmax gives Insane hunts a 20% chance). It holds 1 charge per level and gains a charge for every 150 Electric, Steel, or Poison-type Pokémon you defeat.
- Cinder Helmet (Phoenix's Duty): this effect is back! When you complete an expiring contract, it has a chance to count double toward clan milestones, starting at 6.5% and rising 1.5% per level. Overmax adds a 10% chance for one more contract completion.
- Quacked Chestplate (Porygon's Parade): this effect is back! When you encounter a wild Pokémon, it has a chance to start a horde battle against 2 to 4 of the same species, starting at 2% and rising 0.75% per level. Every Pokémon you defeat in the horde counts toward contracts and ball charging. It does not work on Legendary, Mythical, or Ultra Beast Pokémon, and Overmax lets it work on Ditto.
- Withered Helmet (Hollow Tribute): this effect is back! Completing a PokéBingo line or card has a chance to count double toward Clan Missions and Milestones, starting at 10% and rising 5% per level.
- Gym Bans: to keep gym battles fair, Ogerpon's Wellspring and Cornerstone forms are now banned in Gyms, joining its Hearthflame form.
- Clan Gym Contracts: contracts can now include Clan Gym objectives, like winning Clan Gym battles or finishing Clan Gym brackets, giving clans more ways to earn rewards.
- Chat Caps: messages typed in all caps are now changed to normal case automatically, keeping chat easier to read for everyone.
