Cobblemon Legendaries: How to Get and Spawn Them (2026)

Short answer: Cobblemon has legendaries, but the base mod doesn't spawn them in the wild on its own, so to get them you need a modpack, addon or server that adds legendary spawns. On Complex Cobblemon (cobblemon.mc-complex.com), legendaries spawn naturally in the open world for every player, completely free. The more you play, the higher your chance: our /legend energy system raises your odds as you catch, battle, train and complete server tasks. Mythicals and Ultra Beasts spawn too.

Do legendaries spawn in Cobblemon?​

It depends on where you play.

• Base Cobblemon mod: legendaries exist in the Pokedex, but the mod doesn't spawn them in the wild by default.
• Modpacks and addons: packs like Cobbleverse and addons add legendary encounters, often tied to structures you find in your world.
• Servers: each server sets up its own legendary system. On Complex Cobblemon, legendaries spawn naturally for every player, and you can also earn them from Dungeons and crates.

How legendary spawns work on Complex Cobblemon​

• They spawn in the wild: legendaries spawn right in the open world. Each one has its own biomes, and some need a certain time of day or weather.
• Everyone gets their own chance: your legendary chance is your own and isn't shared with other players. It's based on your own playtime and grind.
• Chat announces every spawn: when a legendary spawns, it's announced in chat. Use /legend history to see recent legendary spawns.
• Spawn protection: a legendary belongs to the player it spawned for. Only that player can battle or catch it, so nobody can steal your catch.
• Personal timing: you get a spawn chance every 5 minutes while you're active. After a legendary spawns for you, there's a 60-minute cooldown, and the spawn uses 65% of your legend energy.

How to increase your legendary spawn chance​

Complex Cobblemon uses a legend energy system. Check yours with /legend. You earn legend energy by playing, and the more energy you build, the better your chance of a legendary spawn. You earn it from:

• Catching Pokemon (Hidden Ability and shiny catches give much more)
• Battling wild Pokemon and World Bosses
• Playtime on the server
• Training your Pokemon (gaining EXP)
• Crafting and smelting
• Hunts (/hunt)
• Contracts (/contracts)
• Bingo (/bingo)
• The Battle Tower

Legend energy is free and comes only from playing. Each category slowly loses energy while you're inactive in it. The players who grind the most have the best odds.

Where legendaries spawn​

Each legendary has its own spawn conditions: biomes, time of day and weather. Type /legend encyclopedia or /legend list in game to see every legendary and what it needs, and /legend active to see which ones can spawn for you right now. Then head to the right place and build your legend energy while you explore.

Mythicals, Ultra Beasts and Paradox Pokemon​

Mythicals and Ultra Beasts spawn through the same legend energy system, alongside the legendaries. Use /legend encyclopedia to see what each one needs to spawn. Most Paradox Pokemon don't spawn in the wild. You get them with a Paradox Core, a rare drop from the Warden: right-click a Pokemon that has a Paradox form while holding the core. Tips for catching a legendary​

• Lower its HP: weaken it without knocking it out. False Swipe is perfect because it always leaves at least 1 HP.
• Add a status condition: sleep or paralysis makes it much easier to catch.
• Use better Poke Balls: stock up on Ultra Balls before you go hunting.

Trading legendaries​

You can trade legendaries on the Global Trade Station (/gts), with /trade and at trading machines.
