Step 1
Starting Out
When you first join the server, you will receive some starting funds to help you get established. Once those are gone, you will need to start earning money yourself. Here are some quick and easy ways to get started:
- Bingo – Catch specific Pokemon to complete your bingo board. The faster you finish, the better the rewards. (/bingo)
- Clans – Clans can vary greatly, from being very easy-going to being made for hardcore, late-game players. Look out for beginner-friendly clans so you can complete missions and objectives while growing stronger together. (/clans)
- Contracts – Complete a variety of tasks for rewards. Higher-tier Contracts offer better rewards, but are also more challenging. (/contract)
- Hunts – Complete Hunts of varying difficulty to earn rewards. Just like Contracts, higher-tier Hunts offer better rewards. (/hunts)
- Jobs – Browse the available Jobs and choose one that fits your playstyle. (/jobs)
- Playtime Rewards – Simply playing on the server earns rewards over time. (/playtime rewards)
- PokeMart – Sell unwanted items to the Spawn PokeMart. (/shops)
- PokeStops – Visit PokeStops located around important areas such as Spawn, Gyms, and more. They reward useful items that you can either sell or use during your adventure. (/warps)
- Present Hunts – Visit the various Present Hunts and search for hidden presents to earn coins. Finding every present in an area grants additional rewards. (/presenthunt)
- Races – Complete Parkour and Elytra races to earn Coins on Pixelmon or unique Tags on Cobblemon. (/races)
- Tournaments - Every 4 hours, an automated tournament is held. These are draft tournaments, meaning you will draft your own team from a standard set. No training is needed! (/tournament)
- Voting – Vote for Complex every day to receive a Vote Key, Coins, and to start or continue your Vote Streak. (/vote)
Step 2
More Challenging Methods
Once you have built up some money, you may want to move on to more profitable methods. These usually require a larger time investment or greater knowledge of the game, but they also offer higher rewards.
- Battle Café (Cobblemon Exclusive) – Take on a unique challenge every 24 hours by battling through the Battle Café. (/warps)
- Battle Tower – Choose your three strongest Pokemon and challenge the Battle Tower for valuable rewards. (/warp battletower)
- Breeding (Pixelmon Exclusive) – Breed battle-ready or rare Pokemon and sell them through the Global Trade Station or Auction House. (/breeding)
- Gyms – Challenge Complex's Gyms for rewards. On Pixelmon, you can continue the challenge after clearing the Gym Gauntlet by battling the Tier 2 Gym Leaders. (/gyms)
- Player Shops & Player Warps – Set up an automated Player Shop and create a Player Warp so other players can easily visit to buy or sell items. (/playerwarps)
Step 3
Gems
Gems are a more difficult currency to obtain, making them highly sought after by players. While Gems can be purchased through the Complex Store, there are also several in-game methods for earning them:
- Giveaways - Join the Discord server and participate in Giveaways for a chance at winning Gems or other rewards.
- Grand Jackpot – Try your luck in the server's Grand Jackpot! Purchase tickets for a chance to win Gems. (/gjp)
- Leaderboards - Compete against other players in various categories to climb the weekly leaderboards and earn Gems. (/leaderboard)
- Ranked (Cobblemon Exclusive) – Compete in live Pokemon battles against other players! Climb the ladder and earn rewards when the season ends. (/ranked)
- Research (Cobblemon Exclusive) – Complete the weekly Research objective and compete for a spot among the top players. The top three players are rewarded with Gems. (/research)
- Tournaments – Participate in daily automated tournaments for Gems, or build your team and compete in the larger monthly Server-Wide Tournament. (/tournament)
- Trading – Make deals with other players by offering items, Pokemon, or other valuables in exchange for Gems. You can also use the Global Trade Station (/gts) and Auction House (/ah).
