Custom gear is a Pixelmon-exclusive feature that is obtainable through seasonal crates! These gear sets, with abilities varying by theme, each have different uses. Whenever a gear piece “procs”, or activates, you will trigger its effect, which can be found by hovering the item when you run the command /gear [Gear Set] in-game! Every month, there is a new set. To obtain the gear, keys are purchasable through the Donor Store and redeemable at /warp crates. It is important to keep in mind that these crate keys only last around a month, so make sure to check the date on your key’s item lore!

Make sure to keep your gear safe! Custom gear is one of the few things you can bring along with you into the Reset Vault when a server is about to reset. Whenever a reset is announced (in Server Announcements), we will specify when the Reset Vault opens. You can access it by doing /rv and clicking on the item in your inventory to add it in. Make sure to retrieve your items and store them back in the Reset Vault after every wipe! They will be lost if not revaulted.

Similarly to how you can use evolution stones on vanilla tools, you can do the same with custom gear and infusions. Currently, with custom gear, we have Dawnstone (Haste + Fall Damage), Duskstone (Invisibility), Firestone (Fire Resistance), Leafstone (Slow Falling), Moonstone (Night Vision), Sunstone (Jump Boost), Thunderstone (Speed), Waterstone (Water Breathing). These are obtainable through crates, other gear sets, or from other players!

Seasonal essence upgrades a custom gear item by 1 level. They are currently obtainable through Dungeons, Clan Crates, Skindex Progression, and at very low percentages for some gear pieces (i.e., Cinder Axe Overmax). Most commonly, they are used when you already have a max-level item and want to Overmax it. Overmaxing a gear piece, depending on the item, can increase your proc chances or just provide a whole new effect altogether. It is important to note that you can only use Seasonal Essence once per gear item, meaning you cannot level up a gear from level 1 to 5. With that, overmax is only achievable with a Tier 5 gear piece. Additionally, with overmaxed gear, there is only a chance to trigger the overmax; it is not guaranteed upon proccing. Be careful with what you use your essences on; they can only be used once!
