Skyblock Island Level Guide: All 50 Levels and Requirements (2026)

Short answer: On Complex Skyblock (hub.mc-complex.com), islands level up from 1 to 50. Most levels need island milestones, and some levels also cost money or need kills in the Pharaoh's Tomb and harvests in the Pharaoh's Realm. Leveling up unlocks new spawner types, higher island upgrades, The End and the Pharaoh's Realm. Check your level with /is level, and level up by completing milestones in /milestones.

How island levels work​

Every island starts at level 1. To reach the next level, your island has to finish everything that level asks for. Most levels ask for one or more island milestones, like Mining 3 or Farming 3. Some levels also ask you to pay money, kill mobs in the Pharaoh's Tomb, or harvest crops, logs and fish in the Pharaoh's Realm.

• Every member who can build on the island helps, and their progress counts toward the same milestones. New members join as Recruits, who can't build until they're promoted.

Each new level unlocks something: new spawner types you can place, higher island upgrades, The End, the Pharaoh's Realm and more. The table below shows everything each level unlocks.

Casual vs Competitive requirements​

Both island types need the same milestone levels, but milestone tasks on Competitive islands are about twice as big, and the money each level costs is higher. Competitive islands can opt in to Island Top at level 5 to compete for monthly prizes. Casual islands can't join Island Top, but every level is cheaper and faster.

Pioneer Tax for top Competitive islands​

The highest level Competitive islands pay more for upgrades and level costs, and need more Tomb kills and Realm harvests, so the leaders can't run away with the season:

• Ranks #1 to #6: +50%
• Ranks #7 to #10: +40%
• Ranks #11 to #15: +30%

Islands tied at the same level all pay the highest rate in their group. Casual islands never pay the Pioneer Tax.

Milestones are written as the milestone name and the level you need, so "Mining 3" means Mining Milestone level 3. Upgrade levels in the Unlocks column are the upgrade tiers you can now buy in /is upgrades. Costs and extra requirements are shown as Casual / Competitive.

How to level up your island faster​

• Work on every milestone at once: most levels need two or three different milestones, so split the work between island members.
• Pin a task: in /milestones, pin the task you're working on so it shows on your scoreboard.
• Play on Sundays: island milestone progress counts double on Sundays.
• Use minions on Casual: on Casual islands, mining, farming, slaying, logging and fishing minions also count toward milestones.
• Save money for the big levels: levels 20, 35 and 50 cost the most, so start saving early.
• Unlock the Pharaoh's Realm: levels 25, 40 and 50 need crops, logs and fish from the Realm, which you unlock as an island upgrade at level 21.
