Short answer: On Complex Skyblock (hub.mc-complex.com), your cobblestone generator makes ores instead of just cobblestone. Upgrade it in /is upgrades to get better ores: the Overworld Cobble Gen has 7 levels, ending with 8.6% diamond ore and 3.7% emerald ore, and The End Cobble Gen has 8 levels, ending with diamond, emerald and netherite blocks. How the ore generator works
On a normal Minecraft world, a cobblestone generator only makes cobblestone. On Complex Skyblock, every block your generator makes on your island is rolled from your generator level, so it can be stone, coal ore, iron ore and more. Higher levels add better ores and raise their chances.- Your island has two generators to upgrade: the Overworld Cobble Gen for your main island and The End Cobble Gen for your island's End.
- Buy levels in /is upgrades. Each level needs a certain island level, shown in the tables below.
- Click the generator upgrade to see every level's chances and pick which unlocked level your generator uses. Some players switch to a lower level to get more stone for building.
How to build a cobblestone generator
- Dig a channel about four blocks long and one block deep.
- Put lava at one end and water at the other.
- Where the flowing lava and water meet, a block forms. Mine it and a new one appears.

Ore generator tips
- Upgrade early: the first Overworld Cobble Gen levels are some of the cheapest upgrades in the game, starting at $2.5M on Casual.
- Mine for milestones too: ores from your generator count toward Mining milestones, which you need to level up your island. See the Skyblock Island Milestones Guide.
- Build more than one: several generators side by side let you mine faster.
- Sell smart: Complex Skyblock has a dynamic economy, so ores that everyone sells drop in price.

How do I upgrade my ore generator in Skyblock?
Type /is upgrades and click Overworld Cobble Gen or The End Cobble Gen. Each level costs in-game money and needs a certain island level.
What level ore generator gives diamonds?
The Overworld Cobble Gen gives diamond ore from level 6 (3.2%), and level 7 raises it to 8.6%.
