Port 19132 in Minecraft
What the Bedrock server port is, when you need it, and how to use it
Short answer: 19132 is the default port for Minecraft Bedrock Edition servers. When you add a server on Bedrock (Windows, iPhone, Android, Xbox, PlayStation or Switch), you enter the server address plus a port, and for almost every Bedrock server that port is 19132. For example, to join
Complex Gaming on Bedrock you enter
hub.mc-complex.com with port
19132. Java Edition uses a different default port, 25565, and Java players usually don't need to type a port at all.

- Update Minecraft Bedrock Edition to the latest version.

Port 19132 vs 25565
Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition talk to servers in different ways, so they use different default ports.
What | Bedrock Edition | Java Edition |
|---|
Default port | 19132 | 25565 |
Protocol | UDP | TCP |
Do you type the port? | Yes, in its own Port box | Usually no, only if the server uses a custom port |
Devices | PC, mobile and consoles | PC (Windows, Mac and Linux) |
That's why a crossplay server usually shows two ways to join: an address for Java, and the same address plus port 19132 for Bedrock. On Complex Gaming, both use
hub.mc-complex.com.
How Bedrock players join Java servers on 19132
Many big servers, Complex Gaming included, are Java servers that also accept Bedrock players. A tool called Geyser listens on port 19132 and translates between Bedrock and Java, so Bedrock players land on the same server, in the same worlds, as Java players. That's how Skyblock, Survival SMP, Factions and Prison on Complex Gaming offer full crossplay: Bedrock players join on 19132, Java players join on the normal Java port, and everyone plays together.
Modded servers are the exception. Cobblemon and Pixelmon are Java mods, so Bedrock players can't join them on 19132 or any other port. Our
Cobblemon on Bedrock guide explains why.
Can't connect on port 19132?
- Check the address: make sure the server address is typed exactly, with no spaces and no port added to the address box.
- Check the port: the Port box should say 19132 unless the server lists a different number.
- Update Bedrock: servers usually need the latest version, so update Minecraft from your app store or console store.
- Check your connection: some school, work and public Wi-Fi networks block game traffic. Try another network or mobile data.
- On a console? Consoles can't add servers the normal way. Use the console joining guide.
