How to Get Legendaries in Cobblemon: Legendary Spawns Guide (2026)

Short answer: In the base Cobblemon mod, legendary Pokemon are in the game but don't spawn in the wild on their own. To catch them you need a modpack, addon or server that adds legendary spawns. On Complex Cobblemon (cobblemon.mc-complex.com), legendaries spawn naturally in every biome for every player, completely free. The more you play, the higher your chance: our /legend energy system raises your odds as you mine, farm, travel and complete server tasks. Mythicals, Ultra Beasts and Paradox Pokemon spawn too.

Do legendaries spawn in Cobblemon?​

It depends on where you play.

• Base Cobblemon mod: legendaries exist in the Pokedex, but the mod doesn't spawn them in the wild by default.
• Modpacks and addons: packs like Cobbleverse and addons add legendary encounters, often tied to structures you find in your world.
• Servers: each server sets up its own legendary system. On Complex Cobblemon, legendaries spawn naturally for every player, and you can also earn them from Dungeons, the Battle Tower and crates.

How legendary spawns work on Complex Cobblemon​

• They spawn in the wild: legendaries can spawn in every biome, right in the open world.
• Everyone gets their own chance: your legendary chance is your own and isn't shared with other players. It's based on your own playtime and grind.
• Chat announces every spawn: when a legendary spawns, it's announced in chat. Use /ll to see recently spawned legendary and rare Pokemon.
• 15-minute spawn protection: every legendary is protected for 15 minutes for the player it spawned for, so nobody can steal your catch.
• Bring a friend: use /legendary trust add <player> to let a friend catch legendaries you're battling.

How to increase your legendary spawn chance​

Complex Cobblemon uses a legend energy system. Check yours with /legend. You earn legend energy by playing, and the more energy you build, the better your chance of a legendary spawn. You earn it from:

• Mining
• Farming
• Traveling on foot
• Flying on your Pokemon
• The Battle Tower
• Contracts (/contracts)
• Hunts (/hunt)
• Other server features across Complex Cobblemon

Legend energy is free and comes only from playing. The players who grind the most have the best odds.

Where legendaries spawn​

Legendaries spawn in every biome, but each one has its own spawn locations. Type /pwiki <pokemon> in game to see where any legendary spawns, then head to that biome and build your legend energy while you explore. For example, /pwiki mewtwo shows where Mewtwo can spawn.

Tips for catching a legendary​

• Lower its HP: weaken it without knocking it out. False Swipe is perfect because it always leaves at least 1 HP.
• Add a status condition: sleep or paralysis makes it much easier to catch.
• Use better Poke Balls: stock up on Ultra Balls before you go hunting.

Trading legendaries​

You can trade legendaries on the Global Trade Station (/gts), with /trade and at trading machines.
