Complex Pixelmon runs on Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1, and you join using our official modpack, which installs everything you need automatically. You need a valid Minecraft Java account to play.

1. Download the CurseForge app.
2. Install the Complex Pixelmon modpack by clicking "Install Via App".
3. Click Play to launch the game.
4. Go to Multiplayer and join pixel.mc-complex.com.

• Pick your starter: The starter selection screen appears automatically the first time you join.
• Read the rules: Use /rules to see the server rules.
• Explore spawn: Holograms around spawn explain the server's features, and you'll find the PokeCenter and PokeMart nearby.
• Find a home: Use /rtp to teleport to a random spot in the Overworld (the permanent world for your base) or the Resource World (resets on the 1st of every month, no claims).
• Claim your land: Use /claim to protect your base. You earn one claim chunk per hour of playtime and can buy more with coins.
• Set your homes: Use /sethome <name> to save locations and /home <name> to return.

Custom gear is exclusive to Complex Pixelmon. Each gear set has its own themed abilities that trigger ("proc") as you play. Use /gear to see every gear set and its perks.

• Getting gear: Custom gear comes from crate keys, available on our store and redeemed at /warp crates. Gear rotates monthly.
• Infusions: Upgrade your gear with evolution stones like Dawnstone, Duskstone and Firestone.
• Essences: Seasonal essences upgrade a gear item by one level. Get them from dungeons, clan crates and other progression.
• Keep it through resets: Store your gear in the Reset Vault with /rv before a reset.

• Gyms: Use /gyms to see every gym and /badges to track your progress. Complex Pixelmon also has Tier 2 gyms for players who want a tougher challenge.
• Elite Four: Use /e4 to find the Elite Four members once you're ready.
• Battle Tower: Take on the Battle Tower at /warp battletower with three Pokemon and earn Battle Points.
• Tournaments: Automated tournaments run every 4 hours. Join with /tournament.
• Boss battles: Take on world bosses with /boss battle.

Complex Pixelmon has a fast-paced, player-driven economy with these currencies:

• Coins: The main currency for shops, the PokeBuilder, contracts, hunts and most features. Check your balance with /bal.
• Gems: A rare premium currency you can convert into store credit with /gemstogc.
• Battle Points: Earned and spent only in the Battle Tower.
• Dungeon Coins: Earned and spent only in Dungeons.

Ways to make money include jobs (/jobs), contracts, hunts, bingo, races, present hunts, gyms, the Battle Tower, breeding and selling Pokemon, and running your own player shop. Buy and sell on the /shop, the Auction House (/ah) and the Global Trade Station (/gts).
