Cobblemon Battle Cafe Guide: Every Cafe, Boss and Reward (2026)

Short answer: The Cobblemon Battle Cafe is a free trainer battle area on Complex Cobblemon (cobblemon.mc-complex.com). You pick one of five cafes (Plains, Town, Dojo, Snow or Labyrinth), beat every trainer, then beat the cafe boss for coins, healing items and one bonus reward. Each pick lasts 24 hours. The Insane Labyrinth Cafe boss can reward Key Stones, Mega Stones, Shiny Pokemon Spins and the Bond Catalyst.

What is the Battle Cafe?​

The Battle Cafe is a big battle map on our Cobblemon server with five themed cafes. Each cafe is full of NPC trainers with competitive teams, plus a boss. Harder cafes pay better rewards.
It's the best place on Complex Cobblemon for tough Cobblemon trainer battles, and great practice before the Gyms and Ranked PvP.

How to start a Battle Cafe run​

1. Go to the cafe: type /warp battlecafe, or open /battlecafemenu and click "Challenge the Battle Cafe".
2. Pick your cafe: right-click the Battle Cafe NPC on the center platform and choose one of the five cafes. It's free. You are teleported straight to your cafe.
3. Beat the trainers: fight the regular trainers in any order. Each win pays a small reward.
4. Beat the boss: the cafe boss unlocks once every regular trainer is beaten. If you try early, the boss tells you who you still need to beat.
5. Claim your rewards: the boss pays its guaranteed rewards plus one bonus reward. Beating the boss completes your Battle Cafe run.

Use /battlecafe active to see your cafe and how much time is left.

Every cafe is open to every player. There is no unlock order, so you can pick the Labyrinth on day one if your team is ready.

Battle Cafe rewards​

Every trainer win pays a reward. The boss pays a guaranteed reward plus one bonus reward from its cafe's list.

Labyrinth Cafe boss rewards​

The Labyrinth boss is the hardest fight in the Battle Cafe and has the best loot. On top of $40,000, 3 Max Potions, 3 Max Revives and a Random Nature Mint, it gives one bonus reward from this list:

• Random Mega Stone
• Shiny Pokemon Spin

• Bond Catalyst: unlocks Battle Bond on Greninja
• Tera Orb Voucher
• Scroll of Darkness
• A key for the latest category crate
• Twister Blades Pokemon Particle

How the Bond Catalyst works: hold it on a Greninja and defeat wild Pokemon. Each wild KO lowers the counter shown on the item. At 0, take it off and right-click any Greninja to give it Battle Bond permanently. The catalyst is used up.

Cobblemon trainer battle rules​

• Singles: every cafe fight is a one-on-one singles battle.
• Full health every fight: your team starts each cafe battle fully healed. Your team battles as a copy, so your real Pokemon keep their HP and held items.
• Competitive teams: every trainer uses a set competitive team, and most trainers have two teams they pick from at random.
• Smart trainers: cafe trainers battle smarter than normal NPCs. They aim for big damage, set up stat boosts, lay hazards like Stealth Rock, use screens, Trick Room and Tailwind, and spread status like Toxic, burns, paralysis and sleep.
• Team rules: if a trainer has an extra rule, like Species Clause (one of each species), and your team breaks it, you get a message before the battle starts.
• Cooldowns: trainers have a battle cooldown that starts after each fight, win or lose. Try too soon and chat shows how long is left.
• One at a time: a trainer can only battle one player at a time. If it's busy, wait or fight a different trainer first.
• No shortcuts: flying and most teleport and heal commands (/fly, /warp, /spawn, /home, /tpa, /back, /pokeheal) are blocked inside the cafe. Use /cafereturn to go back to the center, then use the NPC to leave.

Tips to beat every cafe​

• Start with Plains or Town to learn how cafe trainers play.
• Bring answers to setup: moves like Haze, Taunt, Roar or Whirlwind, plus a fast attacker, stop boosted sweepers.
• Build a real team: good IVs, EVs, natures and movesets matter here. See the Team Building guide.
• Plan your 24 hours: pick a cafe when you have time to finish it, because your pick can't change until it runs out.
• Help your clan: Battle Cafe boss wins count toward clan milestones.
