How to Download and Install Cobbleverse (2026 Guide)

Short answer: COBBLEVERSE is a free Cobblemon modpack for Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1. The easiest way to install it is with the free CurseForge App: open the COBBLEVERSE modpack, click Install, give it at least 4 GB of RAM (6 GB or more is recommended) and click Play. It also works on Mac and Linux. It doesn't work with Lunar Client, Bedrock, consoles or phones. To play online, open Multiplayer and join Complex Cobblemon, which is featured right in the COBBLEVERSE server list.

How to install Cobbleverse with CurseForge​

CurseForge is the easiest way to install COBBLEVERSE, and it's what we recommend.

1. Download and install the free CurseForge App and sign in with your Microsoft account.
2. Open the COBBLEVERSE modpack on CurseForge and click Install.
3. Set your RAM to at least 4 GB (see below).
4. Click Play. The first launch takes a few minutes while everything loads, so let it finish.

Only download COBBLEVERSE from its official CurseForge or Modrinth pages. Copies posted on other sites can be outdated or unsafe.

How to install Cobbleverse with Modrinth​

COBBLEVERSE is also on Modrinth. Download the free Modrinth App, search for COBBLEVERSE, click Install, then click Play. Other launchers that can import Modrinth modpacks, like Prism Launcher, work too, but CurseForge is the simplest.

How much RAM Cobbleverse needs​

COBBLEVERSE needs at least 4 GB of RAM, and 6 GB or more is recommended for the smoothest experience. Don't give it more than about half of your computer's total RAM.

• CurseForge: Settings, then Minecraft, then Java Settings, and set Allocated Memory.
• Modrinth: open the modpack's settings and set the memory under Java and memory.

How to update Cobbleverse​

When a new COBBLEVERSE version comes out, the CurseForge App and the Modrinth App show an Update button on the modpack. Click it before you play. On Complex Cobblemon, the latest COBBLEVERSE version always works.

How to play Cobbleverse online​

COBBLEVERSE works in multiplayer, and Complex Cobblemon is featured right in its server list.

1. Launch COBBLEVERSE and click Multiplayer.
2. Select Complex Cobblemon in the server list. If it's missing, click Add Server and enter cobblemon.mc-complex.com.
3. Join and click Yes when the server asks to download its resource pack.

Cobbleverse install problems​

• Crashes on launch: raise your RAM to at least 4 GB, or 6 GB if you have the memory to spare.
• Won't open in Lunar Client: COBBLEVERSE doesn't work with Lunar Client. Use the CurseForge App instead.
• Stuck loading: the first launch is slow. If it's stuck for a long time, restart the launcher and try again.
• Can't join a server: update COBBLEVERSE to the latest version and don't add or remove mods.
