• What you get: Cobblemon 1.7.3 with all 1025 Pokemon, all 93 Mega Evolutions, gyms and badges, a starter kit, unique structures, custom music and shaders.
• Good to know: it's a big pack, so give it at least 4 GB of RAM (6 GB or more is better). Its server list includes Complex Cobblemon if you want to take your adventure online.
• Pick it if: you want the fullest Pokemon-style adventure on this list and you're happy to start solo.

2. Cobblemon Official Modpack​

Best pure Cobblemon. Made by the Cobblemon team (Cobbled Studios), this is the base mod plus performance, visual and quality-of-life mods. It's the closest thing to "just Cobblemon".

• What you get: the current Cobblemon release with nothing big added on top.
• Good to know: there's a Fabric version and a NeoForge version. Pick Fabric unless you plan to add NeoForge mods.
• Pick it if: you want to learn Cobblemon as its makers designed it, or build your own pack on top.

3. Cobblemon SMP by Complex​

Best for multiplayer. Full disclosure: we make this one. Cobblemon SMP is the official modpack of Complex Cobblemon, and with over 1.3 million downloads it's one of the 5 most downloaded Cobblemon modpacks on CurseForge.

• What you get: Cobblemon 1.7.3 on Minecraft 1.21.1 with tuned performance and quality-of-life mods. It works solo, on LAN or online.
• The server: one click from the Multiplayer menu takes you to Complex Cobblemon (cobblemon.mc-complex.com). Your rival meets you at spawn to pick a starter, then you take on all 18 gyms in order, the Battle Tower and the Battle Cafe.
• Things to do online: free legendary spawns for everyone (/legend raises your odds), every Mega Evolution, world boss raids every 45 to 60 minutes, Dungeons, Ranked PvP, tournaments every 4 hours, the GTS, jobs, hunts, contracts and bingo.
• Pick it if: you want to play with friends and a big community without hosting your own server.

4. All the Mons​

Best kitchen sink. Made by the All the Mods team, ATMons is All the Mods 10 with Cobblemon fully built in: over 400 mods and a complete Pokemon experience.

• What you get: the classic ATM10 tech and magic progression with Pokemon quests, custom trainer battles, unique structures and new Poke Ball recipes, ending with the ATM Star. It runs on Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge.
• Good to know: it's one of the heaviest packs on this list, so it needs a strong PC and more RAM than a light pack.
• Pick it if: you love big modpacks and want Pokemon as one part of a much bigger game.

5. BigChadGuys Plus​

Best cozy pack. Think Stardew Valley with Pokemon: everyday life alongside your Pokemon, with built-in shaders, quests and multiplayer.

• What you get: hundreds of decorations, planes, trains and cars, lots of farming and cooking mods, a Selling Bin for your crops and a Daily Shop, on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Fabric.
• Good to know: it runs an older Minecraft version, so it won't have the newest Cobblemon features.
• Also try: Mayview (with Cobblemon) on 1.21.1 NeoForge, or Society: Sunlit Cobblemon on 1.20.1 Forge, for more Stardew-style packs.

Best singleplayer gym adventure. Cobblemon Expanded (by Jonathan) is a pack made for singleplayer that gives you the gym-badge loop without joining a server.

• What you get: Pokemon towns that generate in your world, NPC gym leaders to battle, rideable Pokemon, Mega Evolution and plushies, on Minecraft 1.21.1 with Fabric.
• Pick it if: you want towns and gym leaders in your own world, on a smaller scale than COBBLEVERSE.

Best RPG pack. Cobblemon in a magical, more dangerous world, with over 200 mods and custom content.

• What you get: quests, legendaries and the Fight or Flight mod, which lets wild Pokemon fight you in real time, like in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It runs on Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge.
• Pick it if: you want Pokemon mixed with an adventure RPG.

Best for automation. Cobblemon plus the Create mod and its add-ons, so you can build factories, trains and machines around your Pokemon.

How we picked​

We looked at popular Cobblemon modpacks on CurseForge and Modrinth in October 2026 and picked one for each way people play: a full adventure, pure Cobblemon, multiplayer, kitchen sink, cozy, singleplayer gyms, RPG, automation and low-end PCs. We left out packs built mainly to join one server. Our own pack also works solo and on LAN, and it's clearly marked as ours. Every pack here is free.

How to install a Cobblemon modpack​

1. Install the free CurseForge App (or the Modrinth App for Modrinth packs).
2. Search for the modpack and click Install. The app sets up the right Minecraft version and loader for you.
