Pixelmon Gyms and the Elite Four
All 18 Pixelmon gyms in order, badges, rewards, Tier 2 gyms and the Elite Four on Complex Pixelmon
Short answer: Yes, Pixelmon gyms are live on Complex Pixelmon (pixel.mc-complex.com): 18 NPC gyms, one for every type, beaten in order from Grass to Poison. Type /gyms, click NPC Gyms and pick a gym to warp there. Your first win at each gym gives its badge, a Pokemon disguise and that type's Z-Crystal, and every win gives a random reward. Beat all 18 to unlock the harder Tier 2 gym leaders and the Elite Four (/e4), where the Champion pays $50,000, three crate keys and a Gym Champion tag on your first win.

Does Pixelmon have gyms?
The Pixelmon mod adds gym badges and NPC trainers, but the gyms you can actually challenge depend on the server you play on. Complex Pixelmon has a full gym circuit: 18 type-based NPC gyms with a gym leader in each, a harder Tier 2 leader for every gym, and an Elite Four with a Champion at the end. NPC gyms are always open, so you never wait for a staff member or another player.

How to challenge a gym
- Type /gyms to open the Complex Gyms Hub.
- Click NPC Gyms. You can filter the list by badges you have or still need.
- Click the gym you want and confirm to warp there. You can also warp straight to it, like /warp grassgym.
- Talk to the gym leader NPC to start the battle.
Tip: sneak and right-click a gym leader to preview its reward pool before you battle. Some gyms also have trainers you need to beat in order before you can reach the next one.
Gym rules
- Badge order: you can only battle a gym leader once you hold the badge from the gym before it. Grass needs no badge.
- Revive limit: you can use up to 3 revive items per gym battle. This covers Revives, Max Revives, Revival Herbs and Sacred Ash.
- Rematches: NPC gyms stay open after you beat them, and every win gives another random reward.
Badges and first win rewards
Every gym badge on Complex Pixelmon is a real item named after its gym, like the Grass Gym Badge. Check your collection any time with
/badges.
The first time you beat each gym, you get:
- That gym's badge.
- A Pokemon disguise themed to the gym.
- That type's Z-Crystal (see the table above).
- A broadcast telling other players you beat the gym.
Beating the Poison gym, the last of the 18, also unlocks the Elite Four.
Gym rewards and Tier 2 gyms
Every gym win gives one random reward from that gym's pool, on top of any first win rewards. Once you hold all 18 badges, every gym also opens a
Tier 2 leader. Tier 2 is the tougher rematch with a much bigger reward pool.
| Reward | Tier 1 gyms | Tier 2 gyms |
|---|
| Coins | $500 or $782 | $5,000 or $5,625 |
| Items | Rare Candy, 5 Revives, a Max Revive, 16 Poke Balls, evolution stones, Nature Mints | 2 random Plates, Nature Mints |
| Boosts | Random Booster, Random Wand (25 charges), Random Modifier | 2 Random Boosters, Random Modifier |
| Crate spins and keys | Pokemon, type, Plushy and Shiny Plushy spins | Plushy, Shiny Plushy, Shiny and Ultra Beast spins, Event Key, Lunar Key |
| Cosmetics | None | Elemental Plushy, Pokemon and Disguise eggs, Competitor tag, a rare gym tag, Arcane Card particle |
Random Modifiers from gyms never include Max IVs. Each Tier 2 gym has its own rare chat tag, such as Bloom at the Grass gym.
The Pixelmon Elite Four
The Elite Four is live on Complex Pixelmon. Once you have all 18 badges, type
/e4 to open the Elite Four menu, then click the battle you want. You are teleported to the arena, and after the battle you return to the Elite Four area.
- Order: Aron, then Grimsley, Bertha, Lance and finally the Champion. Each one unlocks after you beat the one before it.
- Teams: each member uses one of five random competitive teams (level 100 Pokemon for Aron through Lance), so you can't plan for one exact team.
- Healing: your party is healed before each Elite Four battle.
- Rules: Sleep Clause, Item Clause (no duplicate held items), OHKO Clause and Species Clause. No legendary Pokemon, and Destiny Bond is banned.
- Cooldown: 18 hours per battle. The cooldown starts when the battle begins, so it applies whether you win or lose.
Elite Four rewards
Every win pays the normal reward. Your first win against each member also pays a first win bonus on top.
| Battle | First win bonus | Every win |
|---|
| Aron | $20,000 | $10,000 |
| Grimsley | $35,000 | $15,000 |
| Bertha | $45,000 | $20,000 |
| Lance | $50,000 | $25,000 |
| Champion | $50,000, Ultra Beast Spin, Lunar Crate key, Shiny Legendary Plushy Spin and the Gym Champion tag | $25,000 plus a 1% chance at the Fiery Crown Pokemon particle |
Do gyms give Battle Points?
No. Gyms and the Elite Four pay coins and items, not Battle Points. Battle Points come from the Battle Tower at
/warp battletower, and you spend them in the Battle Tower shop.
