Factions Vaults and Regions
How the faction vault works and how to lock your base's storage with faction regions
Short answer: On Complex Factions (hub.mc-complex.com),
/f vault opens your faction's shared vault, which starts at 9 slots and upgrades in
/f upgrades up to 54 slots. Faction regions (
/f rg) are protected areas inside your claims, selected with a blaze rod, that decide who can break, build and open chests there. New regions start with deny-all on, so only players you add with
/f rg player can use them, which keeps your vault rooms safe from insiders.

What is the faction vault?
The faction vault is a shared storage menu that belongs to your whole faction. Open it with
/f vault to store items your members can all reach.
/f v,
/f pv,
/f chest and
/f ec work too.
- Who can use it: the Member, Moderator, Admin, Co-Leader and Leader ranks by default. Recruits and alts can't. Admins and up can change this with the Use /f vault permission in /f perms.
- One player at a time: if someone else has the vault open, you'll see who is using it and have to wait until they close it.
- Where it doesn't open: while you are combat tagged, in the Darkzone, in Duels, on the cannoning server, or in the last few seconds before a server reboot.
- Logs: every item added to or taken from the vault is recorded in your faction logs (/f logs).
- Disbanding: if the faction is disbanded, the vault and everything in it is deleted.
Faction vault upgrades and costs
The vault starts with 9 open slots. Locked slots show as gray glass panes until you buy more in
/f upgrades (Faction Vault upgrade). Upgrades are paid with money.
| Upgrade level | Vault slots | Cost |
|---|
| Default | 9 | Free |
| I | 18 | $10M |
| II | 27 | $20M |
| III | 36 | $50M |
| IV | 45 | $60M |
| V | 54 | $100M |
Maxing the vault at 54 slots costs $240M in total.
What are faction regions?
Faction regions are protected areas inside your faction's claims. They control who can break blocks, place blocks and use chests, doors, buttons and levers there. They are built for vaults, so you can keep your valuable storage rooms locked away from members who don't need them.
- Every block of a region has to be inside your own faction's claimed land.
- New regions start with deny-all on: only players you add by name can build or open containers inside, even if they are in your faction.
- With deny-all off, your faction members and allies use the region normally, and anyone else still has to be added by name.
- Pistons outside a region can't push or pull blocks inside it.
- Creating a region, changing its priority and adding or removing players are all announced to your faction and saved in /f logs.
How to set a region
- Grab a plain blaze rod (not a renamed or custom one). This is your selection tool.
- Left click the block you want as your first corner.
- Right click the block you want as the opposite corner.
- Chat confirms each position once it's set.
- Run /f rg create <name of region>.
- Add yourself and every member who needs access with /f rg player <name of region> <player> yes.
- Check your new region with /f rg list, and see its details with /f rg info <name of region>.
To change a region's size later, make a new selection with the blaze rod and run
/f rg redefine <region>.
Region commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|
| /f rg create <region> | Create a new region with your current blaze rod selection |
| /f rg list [page] | View all regions in your faction |
| /f rg delete <region> | Delete an existing region |
| /f rg priority <region> <priority> | Set region priority (higher = more important) |
| /f rg redefine <region> | Redefine a region's boundaries |
| /f rg info <region> | View detailed information about a region |
| /f rg player <region> <player> [yes/no] | Manage player access to a region |
| /f rg denyall <region> | Toggle deny-all mode for a region |
| /f rg copyaccess <region1> <region2> | Copy access settings between regions |
| /f rg check | Check which regions you are currently in |
Managing your region
- /f rg priority <name of region> <number> sets the region's priority. When regions overlap, the highest priority decides who has access, so give your higher tier vaults a higher priority.
- All access except the players you add is off by default. Toggle this with /f rg denyall <name of region>.
- Grant or remove access with /f rg player <name of region> <player> [yes/no]. This gives that player access to the chests and blocks in that region. Leaving out yes/no toggles their access.
- To give a region the same access list as one you already made, run /f rg copyaccess <region1> <region2>.
- To delete a region, use /f rg delete <region name>.
- Sneak and right click a block with a blaze rod, or run /f rg check, to see every region at your position.
Keeping your vaults safe
Note: Do not add players to your region unless they are 100% trusted. Insiding spawn claims and vaults will, for the most part, no longer be moderated now that regions exist.
- Put your most valuable chests in their own region with deny-all on and only add the players who really need them.
- Give inner vault rooms a higher priority than the larger regions around them.
- Keep /f vault access to trusted ranks in /f perms, and check /f logs to see who added or took items.
