🆕 New in the Pharaoh's Realm update
  • Skill Prestige: prestige each skill up to 10 times for fragments and Realm Levels.
  • Realm Level: up to 40, unlocking relic slots as it rises.
  • Pharaoh's Altar: 16 relics that boost your skills, bought with fragments.
  • Realm Codex: a collection book for every skill that pays fragments and opens extra relic slots.
  • Casual islands: a cheaper Day Realm Pass, slower Pharaoh's Rage and only 4 artifacts to open the portal.
  • Tomb Expeditions: stages 10 to 15 can now drop Pharaoh Artifacts and Ancient Fragments.
  • Nefer: a guide NPC who walks you through the whole Realm, plus a restyled /realm menu, new scoreboard lines and reworked fishing spots.

How to unlock Pharaoh's Realm

  1. Buy the island upgrade. The "Pharaoh's Realm" upgrade costs $100m on Casual islands and $500m on Competitive islands, and needs island level 21.
  2. Place the portal. Open your Island Menu and click the ☽ Pharaoh's Realm ☽ button while standing on your island. The portal appears 4 blocks north of you and needs an empty 3x3 area, 5 blocks tall. You can move it later the same way.
  3. Fill the pedestals. The portal has a ring of numbered pedestals: 4 on Casual islands and 8 on Competitive islands. Right-click the pedestals while holding a Pharaoh Artifact, and it goes on the pedestal with its number. The portal opens once every pedestal is filled.
  4. Buy a Realm Pass and walk into the portal.
Only island members with the "Pharaoh Realm Portal" island permission can place the portal or go in. Visitors and invited players can't.

Where to get Pharaoh Artifacts

  • Pharaoh's Tomb mobs: a very rare drop in every Tomb tier. See the Pharaoh's Tomb Guide.
  • Tomb Expeditions 10 to 15 (new): every clear has a 5% (stage 10) up to 25% (stage 15) chance to drop an artifact. Only the expedition owner gets it.
Artifacts are numbered #1 to #8, and each number only fits its own pedestal. Casual portals only use #1 to #4. Artifacts are contraband, so you drop them if you die.

Realm Passes and Rage

Your island needs an active Realm Pass to enter. One player buys it, and it covers the whole island. Pass time only counts down while an island member is inside the Realm.
PassCostRealm timeIslands
Weekly Realm Pass$500m + 25M XP (Casual) or $3b + 25M XP (Competitive)7 daysAll
Day Realm Pass (new)$75m + 3.5M XP1 dayCasual only
Pharaoh's Rage: every member exploring the Realm fills your portal's Rage bar. At 100%, one artifact burns and the bar resets. With one player inside, an artifact burns about every 6 hours on a Competitive island and about every 8 hours on a Casual island. The portal stays open until the last artifact burns, then everyone is sent out and you need to fill the pedestals again.
Pharaoh's Realm Resistance: this island upgrade slows the burn by 5% per level, up to 25% at level 5. Levels cost $50m, $150m, $300m, $600m and $1b, and need island levels 23, 28, 35, 40 and 43.

Casual and Competitive islands

Casual islands (Easy) get a cheaper upgrade, a cheaper Weekly Pass, the Day Realm Pass, slower Rage and only 4 pedestals. To keep Casual realms for casual players, there's a Casual Lockout:
  • Once you've spent 24 hours in a season on Competitive islands you're a member of (their realms count too), Casual island realms close to you until next season.
  • It never blocks Competitive realms.
  • Your progress shows as "Casual Lockout: X.Xh/24h used" on the Island Menu realm button and in /realm under Information.
  • If the owner converts your only Competitive island to Casual, the lockout lifts. Converting is one-way.

The four Realm skills

Each skill has its own area and NPC. Open /realm and click Areas to find them.

  • Tiers: every crop, log and dune type has 5 tiers, unlocked in the order above. Each tier raises that type's sell boost, and Tier 5 unlocks the next type. Pick your active type at the area NPC. Fish have their own tiers (see Fishing below).
  • Sell boosts at Tier 5: 3x for crops, 3.5x for logs and dunes.
  • Tier goals: crops need 25,000 / 100,000 / 250,000 / 350,000 / 500,000 harvests, logs need 5,000 / 10,000 / 25,000 / 50,000 / 75,000 chops, and dunes need 10,000 / 15,000 / 30,000 / 50,000 / 100,000 blocks.
  • Sunday Benefits: tier progress counts double on Sundays (/sunday), and so does Prestige Progress.
  • Selling: realm items sell with /sell or /sellhand, but only while you're in the Realm. Fish sell to Fisherman Tom.

Dune mechanics

  • Sweet-Spot Momentum: with the perk, aim at the sweet-spot particle on each block to build a streak for Haste I, II and III at 100, 200 and 300. Higher Haste needs higher perk levels.
  • Dune Combo: keep digging fast to stack up to 10 combo steps, each giving more dune drop chance.
  • Sand Veins: Rich Sand Veins, Overflowing Veins and rare Mythic Veins spawn in the dunes and give +20%, +35% and +60% drop chance.
  • Sandstorm: every 90 minutes to 3 hours, dune blocks sell for 2x to 5x while the storm lasts.

Realm perks

Buy perk levels from each area NPC with Gold Shards and XP. Each level also uses up gathered items from that skill. Left-click a perk to see its levels, and right-click to turn it on or off.

Fishing in the Realm

Fish with any rod in Pharaoh's Lake. A fish swims to your bobber, and when it bites you have 2.5 seconds to reel in.
  • Fishing Spots: only Blue and Green Fish bite in open water. Cast within 3 blocks of a spot's center to catch every species. Each spot holds 100 to 200 fish, then runs dry and respawns somewhere else.
  • Hookset: when "⚡ ⇧ SNEAK!" shows up, hold sneak as you reel in for a PERFECT HOOKSET (more weight and combo). Not sneaking is a Sloppy Catch that breaks your combo.
  • Combo: catch again within 8 seconds to build a combo up to 10, adding weight and perk chance.
  • Weight and trophies: fish caught in a spot weigh 0.5 to 5 lbs, and heavier fish sell for more. A Trophy weighs 8 to 10 lbs. Open-water fish stay small.
  • Fish tiers: each species has 5 tiers that rise as you catch it. Maxing a fish pays 500 Gold Shards, and maxing all 7 makes you a MASTER ANGLER for 2,000 more.
  • Golden Catch: every 90 minutes to 3 hours, the next batch of fish caught is worth 2x to 5x, first come, first served.
  • Fish Powder: from the Momentum perk. Use it near water for 5 minutes of faster bites and double perk chance, but rarer trophies.

Golden and Legendary spots are announced to nearby players holding a rod. Axolotls and Dolphins are the rarest and most valuable fish. Fisherman Tom's menu shows your live bite odds for each species.

Prestige and Realm Level

New: every skill can now prestige up to 10 times. Open /realmprogress to see your progress.
  1. First prestige only: get every type of that skill to Tier 5.
  2. Fill Prestige Progress: every realm item you gather for that skill adds 1.
  3. Pay the Offering: deposit realm items from another skill. Crops take fish, Fishing takes dune blocks, Dunes take logs and Logs take crops.
  4. Prestige: your tiers, perks, sell boosts and relics stay.
Each prestige gives +1 Realm Level and fragments of that skill: 10 at Prestige 1, rising by 5 each time up to 55 at Prestige 10. Your Realm Level is the total of all four skills' prestiges, up to 40. Realm Levels 1, 2, 5, 8 and 12 each unlock a relic slot.
Your scoreboard shows your Realm Level and pins one skill's Prestige Progress. Change the pinned skill with /realmpin or by Shift-clicking a skill card.

Fragments and the Altar

The Realm Codex

The Realm Codex (/codex) has one page per skill, and each page has two halves:
  • Discoveries: firsts and milestones, like getting each type to Tier 5, your first Treasure Key or Gold Shards, catching every fish species, landing a Golden Catch or helping a Flash Event. Finish a page for 15 fragments.
  • Mastery: long-term goals, like reaching Prestige 3, 6 and 10, winning a Flash Event, placing top 10 in a Weekly Challenge and collecting large amounts of keys, pouches and Gold Shards. Master a page for +1 relic slot.
Every finished and mastered page is announced in the Realm.

Flash Events and the Weekly Challenge

Flash Events start every 1 to 3 hours: Crop Farming, Log Chopping and Dune Excavation (10 to 15 minutes), or Pond Fishing (20 minutes). The whole Realm races to a goal, and your score counts for the island whose realm you're in. If the goal is reached, the top island gets a 1.5x sell boost for that skill until the next event ends.
Rising bracket (new): players at Realm Level 3 or below compete in their own bracket. Helpers on the top Rising island earn 2 fragments, even if the goal is missed. You need to gather at least 1% of the goal yourself and still be in the Realm when it ends.
Weekly Challenge: one skill each week (crops, logs, dunes, then fishing), ranked by how much you gather. It resets every Sunday at midnight ET.
PlaceReward
#110 GC + 10 fragments
#27 GC + 10 fragments
#35 GC + 10 fragments
#43 GC + 5 fragments
#52 GC + 5 fragments
#6 to #10 (new)5 fragments
Fragments match the week's skill. See the GC Guide for what GC can buy.

Pharaoh's Pit

Pharaoh's Pit is a 24/7 PvP outpost at 0, 60, 0 in the center of the Realm. PvP teams capture it, and holding it gives:
  • 1 Vote Key and 5 Random Pouches every 10 minutes, in a Rewards Chest only the owners can open.
  • +15% Shop Bonus.
Capturing from 0% takes about 6 minutes 40 seconds. If you die in the Pit, you can't go back in for 10 minutes. See the Skyblock PvP Guide for PvP teams.
