Cobblemon SMP Modpack: Download on CurseForge and Play (2026)

Short answer: Cobblemon SMP is the free official modpack of Complex Cobblemon, with over 1.3 million downloads on CurseForge. It runs Cobblemon 1.7.3 on Minecraft Java 1.21.1 with Fabric, and comes with Pokemon from Generations 1 to 9, every Mega Evolution and legendary model, a minimap, proximity voice chat and performance mods. How to download Cobblemon SMP on CurseForge​

1. Download and install the free CurseForge App from curseforge.com. It works on Windows and Mac.
2. Open the Cobblemon SMP page on CurseForge and click Install, or search for "Cobblemon SMP" in the app.
3. Before you play, set the pack's RAM to 4 GB (anywhere from 3 to 5 GB works) in the app's Minecraft settings.
4. Click Play. The app downloads Minecraft 1.21.1, Fabric and every mod for you, so the first launch takes a few minutes.

How to join Complex Cobblemon​

1. Launch Cobblemon SMP and click Multiplayer.
2. Complex Cobblemon is already in the server list. Double-click it to join.
3. If it's missing, click Add Server and type cobblemon.mc-complex.com.
4. Your rival meets you at spawn to choose your starter, and your adventure begins.

What to do on Complex Cobblemon​

• Gyms: beat all 18 gyms in order, and take on the Battle Tower and the Battle Cafe.
• Legendaries: legendaries spawn for every player for free, and /legend raises your odds the more you play.
• Mega Evolution: every Mega Evolution is in the game.
• World bosses and Dungeons: raid a world boss every 45 to 60 minutes and clear Dungeons with friends.
• PvP: climb the Ranked ladder and join automated tournaments every 4 hours.
• Economy: earn rewards with jobs, hunts, contracts and bingo, and trade on the GTS.
• Friends: make a clan and claim land together.

Playing solo or on LAN​

Cobblemon SMP isn't only for the server. Click Singleplayer to make your own world with all the same mods, or open your world to LAN to play with someone on the same network. Your single player Pokemon stay in that world and don't carry over to Complex Cobblemon.

Common problems and fixes​

• Crashing or freezing on launch: give the pack more RAM (4 GB is best) and close other programs.
• Wrong version error: start the game with the Play button in the CurseForge App, and keep the pack updated.
• Lunar Client or Bedrock: neither works. Cobblemon SMP needs Minecraft Java Edition and installs through the CurseForge App.
